Test sites
Housing First Europe sets out to test and evaluate Housing First projects in 5 European cities from a European perspective. This will lead to greater clarity on the potential/limits of the approach, as well as the essential elements of the approach. The chosen test site cities are:
- Glasgow
- Amsterdam
- Copenhagen
- Budapest
- Lisbon
For comparability purposes, Housing First Europe will have test sites which have a strict definition of Housing First according to the original US model.
Housing First Europe is a two-year project implemented through two principle strands:
- A Research and Evaluation strand which assesses the Housing First projects and draws conclusions on the effectiveness of the approach
- A Mutual Learning strand which brings together different stakeholders to discuss the results of the assessments, and generally facilitates exchanges on different Housing First projects across the EU and beyond (USA, Canada).
